What if we learned a little more about this beneficial therapy for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease?
Did you know that there are different approaches to music?
In recent years, music therapy has evolved thanks to research into its benefits for the brain.
There are 3 different approaches:
- The receptive approach.
- The patient listens to music that has been chosen for him according to his needs. This approach is a relaxing form of calming.
- The active approach.
- The patient uses his voice and small instruments, and is guided by his caregiver or therapist to let the music flow. This technique is stimulating in large groups.
- And finally, the use of a combination of receptive and active approaches.
